Von Buhl Reserve Sparkling Wine Brut

Von Buhl Reserve Sekt Brut is not your average sparkling wine—it's the result of decades of experience from one of the most renowned wineries in the Palatinate. If you're looking for something truly exceptional for an aperitif or a toast, this is the perfect choice.

For the cuvée, Reichsrat von Buhl uses approximately two-thirds Pinot Blanc and one-third Chardonnay —both grape varieties partially aged in oak barrels, which lends the sparkling wine depth and structure. Particularly noteworthy is the philosophy behind the Reserve concept: by including batches from older vintages, a consistently high-quality character is created, which is repeated from bottle to bottle. This is craftsmanship that you can taste.

In the glass, the Reserve sparkling wine reveals aromas of pear, mandarin orange, and hazelnut . The texture is creamy, the acidity finely integrated—no harshness, no overpowering notes, but a round, elegant finish.

  • Ideal as an aperitif for social evenings.
  • Excellent with light poultry, risotto or mild cheese.
  • A perfect gift for anyone who appreciates good sparkling wine.

Reichsrat von Buhl

VDP Member Estate

In 1849, Franz Peter Buhl founded the winery in Deidesheim – emerging from the division of the Jordan estate, which also gave rise to Bassermann-Jordan and von Winning. Today, all three belong to the Niederberger Group. On approximately 56 hectares, nearly 90 percent is planted with Riesling. The top sites are located in Forst – Kirchenstück, Ungeheuer, and Pechstein – in addition to parcels in Wachenheim, Ruppertsberg, and Königsbach. The VDP estate has been organically certified since 2009 and operates biodynamically. Since 2013, the style has been shaped by Mathieu Kauffmann, formerly cellar master at Champagne Bollinger. His signature is particularly evident in the sparkling wines, which are produced using traditional bottle fermentation.
