Prior
The Prior collection brings together wines that know exactly what they want. At its heart is the Kiefer Cuvée "Sharing Joy," a delightful red wine that will instantly captivate you. With its deep, dark red color and violet reflections, it not only looks stunning in the glass but also impresses with its vibrant spiciness. You'll taste ripe blackberries, blackcurrants, and a subtle hint of tobacco, perfectly balanced by soft tannins. It's an uncomplicated companion for convivial evenings when you simply want to enjoy a good time with your friends.Filters

Prior – a rare curiosity from the Kaiserstuhl
Prior is one of the rarest grape varieties in Germany, and in the Vinoscout range you will currently find a wine made from this variety – from 6.45 euros. A good introduction to a grape variety that hardly anyone knows, but which is worth trying.
Origin & Character
Prior was bred in the 1990s at the Geisenheim Research Institute and is a fungus-resistant new breed (PIWI) that is grown particularly in the southwest of Germany. The Kaiserstuhl with its warm, continental climate and volcanic weathered soils offers good conditions for this. In the glass, Prior shows dark berry fruit – blackberry, plum – with soft tannins and a pleasant fullness. Vinified as a sweet wine, like the wine in the current range, the fruit comes to the fore even more clearly, carried by a subtle residual sweetness. The style is accessible and uncomplicated.
Pairs well with
- Grilled poultry or light meat dishes
- Spicy antipasti and cold cuts
- Mature soft cheeses with a mild character
- Desserts with dark berry fruit, such as plum cake
