Trajadura – fresh white wines from the Vinho Verde
Trajadura is one of the classic white grape varieties of the Vinho Verde and stands for light, lively wines with clear fruit. At Vinoscout, you will currently find one wine from this variety, starting at 13.90 euros.
Origin & character
Trajadura grows in the northwest of Portugal, in the cool, rainy Vinho Verde growing region. The variety produces comparatively full-bodied wines for the region – with less acidity than, for example, Loureiro or Alvarinho, but with a soft texture and round fruit. Typical are aromas of white peach, pear, and a hint of blossom. Trajadura is often used in cuvées to provide structure and melt, but also appears as a single-varietal wine. The wines are to be drunk young and fit well into the summer.
Pairs well with
- Grilled fish and seafood
- Light pasta with lemon and herbs
- Fresh goat cheese
- Summer appetizers and tapas
