Montes Purple Angel

Color: deep, brilliant purple-red

Aroma: the different vineyard sites and grape varieties give the wine a complex bouquet with the elegant dark fruit notes (plum, blueberry) of the Apalta Carmenère, the lively spice of the Carmenère from Marchigüe, and the wild-fruity blackberry aromas of the Petit Verdot

Taste: on the palate full-bodied, very intense and rich with plenty of ripe tannin, which gives the wine its firmness and structure; a wine that is as powerful as it is sensual with excellent aging potential!

All grapes are hand-picked, usually in the still-cool, early morning hours. The berries are then selected, and only well-ripened, healthy grapes are filled into the tanks. After fermentation, the wine matures for 18 months in barriques made of 50% new French and 50% American oak. Then it is gently racked three times to remove all lees and yeast particles and at the same time to add minimal amounts of oxygen, which promote the further development and maturation of the wine. As a result, the wine is already so clear and pure during the "final blending" that it does not need to be fined or filtered for bottling. Finally, the bottled wines are stored for up to another year in the bottle before they are released for sale.
