Montes Cabernet Sauvignon Carmenère Limited

The Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenère grapes for Montes' eponymous wine grow under optimal conditions on their own estate in the Apalta Valley, D.O. Santa Cruz (a sub-appellation of the Colchagua Valley). All grapes are harvested at full ripeness and fermented traditionally. After the final blend is assembled, around 70% of the cuvée is aged for six months in American oak barrels.

Color: beautiful, intensely luminous ruby red

Scent: in the bouquet, seductive notes of fine butter caramel, chocolate, spices, tobacco, and coffee merge with elegant vanilla aromas (due to barrel aging)

The taste of the Montes Limited is smooth with a soft, almost sweet richness, a medium to full body, and the characteristic, yet firm and velvety-ripe tannin of the Carmenère, harmoniously round and balanced in the finish with wonderful length.
