Kaiken Terroir Malbec

For the Kaiken Terroir Series, all grapes are carefully harvested by hand into small 15 kg crates, also meticulously sorted by hand, then initially cold-macerated for seven days (10 °C), and only then is the ten- to twelve-day alcoholic fermentation started at controlled temperatures of 25 to 28 °C. After the fermentation period is complete, the wines remain on the skins for another seven to 15 days to extract a maximum of intense color pigments and soft tannins from the grape skins; they are then carefully drawn off and approximately 80% are aged for seven months in French oak barrels before being bottled with only gentle filtration.

Its color is a deep red-violet with purple highlights.

Nose: the bouquet first reveals the classic floral notes of Malbec, which are soon joined by the fruity berry aromas (especially strawberry) of Bonarda.

Taste: on the palate, the Kaiken Terroir Series Malbec impresses with the structure and freshness of Bonarda and Petit Verdot, which is beautifully rounded off by the spicy fruit and fullness of the Malbec. The wine is magnificently balanced, round, and full with a long, aromatic finish.
