Domaine Bousquet Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve

An Argentinian Cabernet Sauvignon from the high Andes – for those seeking depth and elegance in a glass. The Domaine Bousquet Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve from Bodega Domaine Bousquet is aimed at wine lovers who appreciate a characterful red wine without sacrificing finesse.

The grapes grow in the Alto Gualtallay region of Tupungato , at an altitude of approximately 1,200 meters at the foot of the Andes. The cool, high-altitude climate ensures slow, even ripening, resulting in pronounced aromatics. Six to eight months of aging in French oak barrels lend the wine structure and a velvety depth. In the glass, it displays a deep ruby color, with a fruity nose of strawberry, floral notes, and subtle spice. On the palate, it is juicy, full-bodied, and boasts elegant tannins – the finish is long and pleasant.

Ideal for:

  • Grilled beef or leg of lamb
  • Mature hard cheeses
  • hearty braised dishes
With 90 points from James Suckling (2022 vintage), it impressively confirms what high-altitude viticulture in Argentina can achieve.
