Domaine Bousquet Malbec Grande Reserve (organic)

Malbec from the highlands of the Mendoza Andes, organically grown at around 1,200 meters altitude – where cooler nights and intense UV radiation ensure natural aroma concentration. Domaine Bousquet, founded by the French family of the same name, is one of the pioneers of biodynamic wine production in Argentina.

The Grande Reserve matures for 12 months in French oak barrels (a mix of new and used) and spends another 12 months in the bottle before it goes on sale. On the nose, ripe plum, black cherry, and a hint of violet appear, underlined by roasted aromas and dark chocolate. Full-bodied on the palate, supple tannins, long fruity finish. James Suckling rates the 2021 vintage with 93 points.

Serving temperature: 16–18 °C. Pairs with braised beef cheeks, leg of lamb, or a strong Manchego.

Bodega Domaine Bousquet

Domaine Bousquet combines the expertise of French oenology with the exceptional climate and terroir of Argentina. The vineyard lies in the foothills of the Andes, at an altitude of approximately 1200 meters. The thermal conditions at this elevation contribute to the production of fully ripened grapes with excellent acidity. The grapes are characterized by their exceptional acidity. They are harvested by hand, and the vineyard is certified organic.
