Alpha Special Cuvee Chardonnay

A substantial Chardonnay from the coastal climate of Chile – with tropical fruit, creamy texture, and a finale that lingers.

Montes is one of the defining wineries of Chile. The house, founded in 1988 in the Colchagua Valley, has contributed significantly to making Chilean wines taken seriously internationally. The Alpha line stands for selective hand-picking, barrel fermentation, and careful aging – the Special Cuvée Chardonnay is the most substantial interpretation of the series.

On the nose, it shows ripe pineapple and white peach, plus an unexpected freshness through light artichoke notes that stem from the cool sea influence of the coastal climate. In the mouth, it appears full-bodied and creamy, supported by a lively acidity that keeps the balance. The finish is long and slightly mineral.
