Montes Merlot Reserve

To round out the Montes Reserve Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon was added, followed by six months of aging in American oak barrels. It has a fresh, fruity character with notes of cherry and blackberry, perfectly balanced with subtle oak influences. This is the taste of Chile! The grapes are hand-harvested and destemmed. After extended maceration, the wine matured for six months in American oak. Only then is a small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon added to the Merlot to slightly enhance the acidity and tannins.
