Kaiken Wines was born in 2002 from a crossing – not only geographically, but also in terms of craftsmanship. Chilean star winemaker Aurelio Montes, known for his work in the Colchagua Valley, ventured across the Andes and founded a winery in Mendoza that combines Argentinian terroir with decades of experience in South American winemaking. The name says it all: Kaiken is the Patagonian wild goose that regularly migrates between Chile and Argentina – a metaphor for the knowledge transfer that underlies this project.

At the heart of the range is Malbec, Mendoza's flagship grape, complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and the aromatic white wine Torrontés. The vineyards benefit from the high altitude of the Andean slopes: cool nights, intense sunshine, and well-drained soils that give the grapes structure and freshness. The result is wines of both depth and approachability – powerful, yet not heavy.
