Montes Purple Angel

Color: Deep, brilliant purple-red. Aroma: The different vineyard sites and grape varieties give the wine a complex bouquet with the elegant dark fruit notes (plum, blueberry) of the Apalta Carmenère, the lively spice of the Carmenère from Marchigüe, and the wild, blackberry aromas of the Petit Verdot. Taste: Full-bodied, very intense, and rich on the palate with abundant ripe tannins that give the wine its firmness and structure; a powerful yet sensual wine with excellent aging potential! All grapes are harvested by hand, usually in the cool, early morning hours. The berries are then sorted, and only well-ripened, healthy grapes are placed in the tanks. After fermentation, the wine matures for 18 months in barriques made of 50% new French and 50% American oak. Then it is carefully racked three times to remove all sediment and yeast particles, while simultaneously introducing minimal amounts of oxygen that promote the further development and maturation of the wine. As a result, the wine is already so clear and pure at the time of final blending that it requires neither fining nor filtration before bottling. Finally, the bottled wines are aged in the bottle for up to a year before being released for sale.
