Cantina Terlan Nova Domus Terlaner

The Nova Domus Terlaner DOC reveals a wide range of aromas from Pinot Bianco, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc: apricot, tropical fruits, and vanilla are discernible in the bouquet and harmonize beautifully with the robust, balanced, slightly mineral taste and the interesting interplay of acidity. Fermentation takes place 50% in 500-liter tonneaux and 50% in large oak barrels; aging and maturation on the lees for 12 months. Gambero Rosso: 2 glasses for the 2011 vintage; Duemilavini 2011: 4 grapes for the 2011 vintage; Wine Spectator: 91 points for the 2011 vintage

Cantina Terlan

Since 1893, the Terlan winery in the South Tyrolean Adige Valley has stood for something that has become rare in modern viticulture: patience. What 24 winegrowers once founded as a cooperative is today one of the most renowned addresses in alpine viticulture. The house's philosophy focuses on long lees aging and consistent quality instead of quantity. Terlan proves that white wines from volcanic porphyry soil and an alpine microclimate can be among the longest-lived in the world.
