Quartz Sauvignon DOC

Quartz Sauvignon DOC
The Quarz is Terlan's prime example of what South Tyrolean Sauvignon Blanc can do: aromatic complexity that goes far beyond what is typical of the variety.
The Terlan winery – one of Italy's most prestigious cooperatives – cultivates vineyards in the Adige Valley at altitudes ranging from 250 to 900 meters. The wide daily temperature range and the well-aerated porphyry and quartzite soils shape the characteristic style: ripe fruit with a distinct minerality.
On the nose, mango, papaya, and red grapefruit, along with herbal notes of lemongrass, lemon balm, and green tea. A hint of gooseberry and flint adds depth and vibrancy to the aromatic profile. On the palate, juicy fruit, delicate minerality, and a powerful, lingering finish.
Serving suggestion: Well chilled at 10–12 °C. Pairs well with goat cheese, scallops with lemon butter, Thai dishes with coconut milk or grilled white asparagus.
