Cantina Terlan Lunare Gewürztraminer

Cantina Terlan Lunare Gewürztraminer
The Lunare is Cantina Terlan's answer to the question of what Gewürztraminer can do when it is consistently thought through to its logical conclusion: aromatically charged, dry, with a real bite in the finish.
Cantina Terlan is one of South Tyrol's most prestigious wine cooperatives — founded in 1893, it is now known for white wines with exceptional aging potential. The Lunare represents the pinnacle of their Gewürztraminer range: the grapes come from the best vineyards around Terlan, where the porphyry soil provides structure and minerality.
In the glass, aromas of rose, lychee, and orange peel unfold—the typical flavor profile of the variety, but here with a clear focus rather than heaviness. Fifty percent aging in tonneau (500 l), fifty percent in stainless steel tanks, ten months of lees aging: this explains the creamy texture and the long, slightly spicy finish with a fresh bitterness. Not a wine that imposes itself—rather, one that reveals itself.
