Vorberg Pinot Bianco DOC Riserva

Vorberg Pinot Bianco DOC Riserva
The Vorberg is Terlan's flagship among the Pinot Blancs – a Riserva that shows what Pinot Bianco can achieve in South Tyrol when given time and the right location.
The Terlan winery has been producing wine in the municipality of the same name, north of Bolzano, since 1893. The cooperative is among the most prestigious in South Tyrol and is particularly known for its long-lived white wines. The Vorberg vineyard comes from a steep, high-altitude slope above Terlan – cool nights, plenty of sunshine during the day, and poor porphyry and quartz soils. These conditions slow down the ripening process and concentrate the aromas.
In the glass, it displays ripe pear, yellow apple, and a hint of beeswax, underpinned by a subtle oak note from barrel aging. The body is dense and full-bodied, the acidity integrated and creamy – not an adrenaline rush, but a long, lingering finish with a light almond note. A white wine that takes its time.
Serving temperature: 12–14 °C. Drinking window: now until 2030. Pairs well with veal medallions with porcini mushrooms, mature mountain cheese, or a creamy risotto with white truffle.
