Zenato Amarone della Valpolicella Classico
Amarone red wine is among Italy's finest red wines and is considered the king of the Veneto region. This powerful wine boasts an unparalleled concentration of aromas. This results from the rigorous selection of the Valpolicella grapes Corvina and Rondinella, which are dried for four months on straw mats before being aged for two and a half years in French and Slavonian oak. Alberto Zenato is proud of his flagship wine, the Zenato Amarone della Valpolicella Classico, which only leaves the cellar on the southern shore of Lake Garda after a further year of bottle aging, before delighting connoisseurs worldwide with its exquisite richness. James Suckling 2024: 95 points for the 2019 vintage; Mundusvini 2024: Gold for the 2019 vintage; Selections Mondial des Vins 2024: Grand Gold for the 2019 vintage

The winery was founded in 1960 by Sergio Zenato and, following his death, is now run by his wife and children. Located south of Lake Garda, the family business owns 75 hectares of vineyards, including those in the Valpolicella and Lugana regions, which are among the finest. Grape varieties such as Corvina, Rondinella, Trebbiano, Merlot, Garganego, and Chardonnay are cultivated on the mineral-rich soils. The optimal microclimate in this region provides the necessary conditions for producing grapes of exceptional quality. Sergio Zenato exports its wines throughout Italy, across Europe, and now even to the USA. Approximately two million bottles of wine are produced annually.
