Zenato Soave Classico DOC

Zenato Soave Classico DOC
The Zenato Soave Classico comes from the historical core area of the DOC – the hills around Soave and Monteforte d'Alpone, where volcanic basalt soils give the Garganega grape its typical mineral freshness.
Sergio Zenato built the winery in the 1960s in the Veneto and remains one of the reliable addresses in the region to this day. The Soave Classico stands for the accessible, easy-drinking style of the house: light to medium body, lively acidity, no wood usage.
In the glass, it shows aromas of white peach, almond, and a hint of chamomile blossom – classic Garganega profile, cool and uncomplicated. The finish is fresh, with a slight bitter almond note that is typical for good Soave.
- Temperature: 10–12 °C
- Goes well with: Grilled sea bream, linguine alle vongole, light vegetable quiches or as an aperitif with olives and white bread

The Zenato winery was founded in 1960 by Sergio Zenato and is today, after his death, managed by his wife Carla and their children Alberto and Nadia. Located south of Lake Garda, the family business has around 95 hectares of vineyards in two of the most renowned locations in Northern Italy: Valpolicella and Lugana. Both growing regions are among the best of their kind and give Zenato's wines their unmistakable origin.
On the mineral-rich soils around the lake, grape varieties such as Corvina, Rondinella, Trebbiano, Merlot, Garganega and Chardonnay thrive – a variety that is typical of the region and forms the basis for the winery's different styles. The mild microclimate on Lake Garda, characterized by warm days and balancing winds from the lake, ensures even ripening of the grapes and thus creates the perfect conditions for quality in every vintage.
From a family business to an internationally respected name: Zenato now exports its wines within Italy, throughout Europe and now to the USA. Around two million bottles are produced annually – and despite this size, the demand for artisanal quality and terroir loyalty remains the foundation of every bottle that leaves the house today.
