Zenato Custoza DOC

The sensational Zenato Custoza DOC from our long-standing Italian producer partner, Zenato, is a crisp, fresh, and finely balanced cuvée of Garganega, Chardonnay, Tocai, and Cortese grapes from the shores of Lake Garda. With its vibrant fruit and well-structured aromas, ranging from delicate blossoms and green apples to subtle herbal notes, the Zenato Custoza seduces both the nose and palate. This Bianco di Custoza from Zenato is a delicacy that can be enjoyed not only as a wonderful glass of wine but also as a brilliant food pairing. With classic Italian dishes like pasta and risotto, the youthful and uncomplicated Zenato Custoza DOC is pure bliss. The Bianco di Custoza's price is also extremely pleasing—at least for now. Very pale, with delicate aromas of blossoms and green fruit (apple), with delicate, invigorating fruit and harmonious acidity. Mundus Vini Gold Medal for the 2013 vintage.

Sergio Zenato

The winery was founded in 1960 by Sergio Zenato and, following his death, is now run by his wife and children. Located south of Lake Garda, the family business owns 75 hectares of vineyards, including those in the Valpolicella and Lugana regions, which are among the finest. Grape varieties such as Corvina, Rondinella, Trebbiano, Merlot, Garganego, and Chardonnay are cultivated on the mineral-rich soils. The optimal microclimate in this region provides the necessary conditions for producing grapes of exceptional quality. Sergio Zenato exports its wines throughout Italy, across Europe, and now even to the USA. Approximately two million bottles of wine are produced annually.
