Winzer Sommerach Summer Mood Rosa

A light rosé for moments when the focus should not be on the wine – but on the company.

Winzer Sommerach eG is a traditional cooperative in the Franconian Main Triangle, founded in 1901. The vineyards around Sommerach am Main benefit from the mild microclimate and the limestone-rich soils – a combination that produces fresh, aromatic wines.

The summery Rosa is made from a blend of red and white grapes. At only 9.5% ABV, the wine remains effortlessly light: pale pink in the glass, with aromas of fresh strawberry and redcurrant, and on the palate, uncomplicatedly fruity with lively acidity and a short, clean finish. No oak, no extract – direct and easy to drink.

  • Temperature: well chilled at 8–10 °C
  • Food: Summery finger food, Caprese salad, light pasta or simply on the terrace
  • Occasion: Barbecue, picnic, large gathering

If you're looking for an uncomplicated rosé for hot days that you can't go wrong with, this is the right place.

Sparkling but not a rosé

Tastes fresh and fruity. But is pearly and foamy.

Highly recommended!

A very refreshing, light summer wine. Take it straight out of the fridge and enjoy!

Winzer Sommerach

Winzer Sommerach is the oldest winegrowers' cooperative in Franconia – founded in 1901 by 35 winegrowing families who joined forces to survive during a time of phylloxera infestation and plummeting prices. Today, 90 families carry on this tradition, cultivating around 200 hectares on the Main River loop and tending the Sommeracher Katzenkopf vineyard, one of the most important sites in the region. Their motto, "High standards make the difference," is not just a slogan: every bottle can be traced back to a specific winegrower and their vineyard – transparency and community as a lived principle for over 120 years.
