The "Familiengewächs" Silvaner Alte Reben dry is a Franconian white wine whose scent is reminiscent of fully ripe mirabelle plums. It offers extraordinary shell limestone minerality, together with notes of citrus fruits. It is juicy and has a delicate melt. The aftertaste is exceptionally long.

The Winery
Winzer Sommerach is the oldest winegrowers' cooperative in Franconia – founded in 1901 by 35 winegrowing families who joined forces during a time of phylloxera infestation and falling prices to survive together.
Today, 90 families carry this idea forward, cultivating around 200 hectares on the Mainschleife and guarding the Sommeracher Katzenkopf, one of the most significant sites in the region.
The motto "Quality makes the difference" is no empty phrase: every bottle can be traced back to a specific winemaker and their vineyard – transparency and community as a lived principle for over 120 years.
