Winzer Sommerach Sommerlaune weiß

Winzer Sommerach Sommerlaune weiß
An uncomplicated white wine from Franconia that delivers exactly what the name promises: light, fresh, and made for balmy evenings on the terrace.
Winzer Sommerach is one of the best-known wine cooperatives in Franconia, located directly on the Main river. The member estates cultivate sites around Sommerach – sandy soils and the moderating influence of the Main shape the style of the wines: accessible, fruity, without unnecessary heaviness. The cooperative stands for solid Franconian craftsmanship with a clear focus on everyday wines that fit a relaxed lifestyle.
In the glass, the Sommerlaune shows aromas of ripe peach, elderflower, and a hint of green apple. The acidity is lively but not sharp – it keeps the wine fresh and thirst-quenching. The finish is short and refreshing, without any rough edges. Not a wine for long analysis, but for relaxed drinking in good company.

Winzer Sommerach is the oldest winegrowers' cooperative in Franconia – founded in 1901 by 35 winegrowing families who joined forces to survive during a time of phylloxera infestation and plummeting prices. Today, 90 families carry on this tradition, cultivating around 200 hectares on the Main River loop and tending the Sommeracher Katzenkopf vineyard, one of the most important sites in the region. Their motto, "High standards make the difference," is not just a slogan: every bottle can be traced back to a specific winegrower and their vineyard – transparency and community as a lived principle for over 120 years.
