Sessantanni Primitivo di Manduria DOC 6.0 Liter in wooden box

The Sessantanni – named after the 60-year-old Primitivo vines from which it originates – is a red wine that brings Puglia's southern heat and depth unfiltered into the glass. The 6-liter wooden case makes it the perfect choice for serious dinner parties.

Feudi di San Marzano is a cooperative in the heart of the Manduria region of southeastern Apulia. Its members cultivate old bush vines ( alberello pugliese ), whose roots are deeply embedded in the barren, red soils of the Salento peninsula. Old vines mean low yields and concentrated must quality – and that's exactly what you can taste.

In the glass: deep ruby red, almost black, with violet reflections at the rim. The nose is complex: ripe blackberry and black cherry, underpinned by licorice, tobacco, and a hint of vanilla. On the palate, it is full-bodied with soft, ripe tannins, rich fruit, and a long finish. Multiple award winner – including Gold at Mundus Vini and Best Absolute Italian Wine from Luca Maroni for the 2015 vintage.

Serving temperature 16–18 °C. Pairs well with braised lamb, venison ragù, aged pecorino cheese or robust roasted vegetables with balsamic vinegar.

Feudi di San Marzano

What nineteen winegrowing families from San Marzano di San Giuseppe sealed with a handshake in 1962 is today one of the most renowned names in Apulia: Feudi di San Marzano. Around 1,500 winegrowers cultivate more than 1,200 hectares of vines together in the heart of the Primitivo di Manduria DOP, many of them still using the traditional Alberello system – the bush-trained vines that have defined the character of Salento for generations. The red limestone soil, the sun, and the sea breezes between the Adriatic and Ionian Seas shape wines that are powerful yet precise. Every grape is harvested by hand, and chemical fertilizers are strictly avoided.
