Beaune Bressandes 1er Cru, Blanc, Famille Gagey

Beaune Bressandes 1er Cru, Blanc, Famille Gagey
Pinot Blanc from one of the most renowned sites in Beaune — the Bressandes lie in the upper slope area of the 1er Cru belt, where the Chardonnay develops more freshness and minerality than in the warmer mid-slope sites.
Louis Jadot is one of the best-known négociant houses of the Côte d'Or. The Famille Gagey has led the house for generations with a focus on site-true vinification: classic aging in wooden barrels, gentle assemblage, long cellar rest before shipping.
In the glass, this Blanc shows a silky texture that one would rather expect in a Meursault — white peach, ripe pear, a hint of brioche from the barrel aging. The acidity remains present and supports the wine without stinging. The finish is long, finely mineral, with a slightly saline note.
- Temperature: 12–14 °C
- Food: Fried turbot, scallops with butter sauce, sweetbreads, or ripe Comté
- Occasion: Festive dinner, sophisticated wine pairing
