Corton Grèves Grand Cru Jadot

Corton Grèves is one of the few red wine Grand Crus of Burgundy – and Louis Jadot, one of the most famous négociant wineries of the Côte de Beaune, has been working with plots in this location for decades.

The vines grow on a southeast-facing plot with siliceous soils – a substrate that lends the Pinot Noir here more structure and tension than on the clay-rich slopes of the Corton hill. In the glass, a dense, full-bodied Burgundy: aromas of dark cherry, blackberry, and undergrowth, along with a hint of smoke and fine cedar from barrel aging. Soft, well-integrated tannins, harmonious acidity, and a long finish with a mineral edge.

Drinking window: from now until 2032; aeration or decanting is recommended for younger vintages. Serving temperature 16–17 °C.
