Corton Grèves Grand Cru Jadot

Corton Grèves Grand Cru Jadot
Corton Grèves is one of the few red wine Grand Crus of Burgundy – and Louis Jadot, one of the most well-known négociant wineries of the Côte de Beaune, has been working with plots on this site for decades.
The vines stand on a southeast-facing plot with pebbly soils – a subsoil that gives the Pinot Noir here more structure and tension than on the clay-rich sites of the Corton hill. In the glass, a dense, meaty Burgundy: aromas of dark cherry, blackberry, and undergrowth, plus a hint of smoke and fine cedar wood from the barrel aging. Soft, well-integrated tannins, harmonious acidity, long finish with mineral sharpness.
Recommended with air or decanting for young vintages. Serving temperature 16–17 °C.
- Braised beef shoulder or wild boar loin
- Duck with cherry sauce
- Aged Époisses or Comté 24 months
