Kiefer Grauburgunder Kabinett trocken

Kiefer Grauburgunder Kabinett trocken
An uncomplicated Pinot Gris from the Kaiserstuhl region – fresh, dry, and perfect for everyday enjoyment. Ideal for evenings when you want to open a reliable white wine without any fuss.
The Kiefer winery is located in Eichstetten am Kaiserstuhl, one of Germany's warmest wine regions. The vines grow on loess soil with a volcanic subsoil – a combination that gives the Pinot Gris a smooth texture and a certain mineral freshness. Kabinett here signifies a light style and moderate alcohol content.
A pale yellow-green in the glass. On the nose, ripe green apple, a hint of pear, slightly spicy. On the palate, lean, with lively acidity that keeps the wine crisp. No oak, no distracting volume – clear, direct fruit with a dry finish.
- Food: Salads, tarte flambée, grilled vegetables, light pasta with lemon sauce or fish fillet
- Temperature: 10–12 °C
- Drinking window: Drink now – this style thrives on its freshness

The Friedrich Kiefer winery in Eichstetten am Kaiserstuhl looks back on a history that began in 1851 – founded by a teacher from the Markgräflerland region who passionately dedicated himself to what was then a completely new endeavor. Since 2008, the winery has been run by Helene, a certified oenologist, and Martin, a certified engineer, who cultivates over 100 hectares of vines on the characteristic volcanic weathering rock and loess of the Kaiserstuhl region, together with long-standing partner winegrowers. Their motto is "Wine / Style / Performance" – and this is reflected both in their meticulously crafted wines and in labels that inspire enjoyment rather than mere show.
