Product description

Five wines, one domaine: The Mira Luna Sample pack shows in five bottles just how broad the south of France can be. Two rosés from different appellations, two white wines with completely different textures, and a red wine from a clay vessel. This pack is aimed at anyone who wants to get to know Provence as an independent wine region and enjoys comparative tasting.

The two rosés set the stage. The Coteaux Varois en Provence Rosé comes from the cool hinterland of the Var, where continental nights provide more acidity and tension. It shows strawberry, white peach skin, and dried herbs like thyme with a hint of lavender. The Côtes de Provence Rosé represents the classic, dry style of the region: light salmon pink, fresh strawberry, white peach, and a short, fresh finish. Tasted side-by-side, the difference between the hinterland and the classic appellation quickly becomes tangible.

Among the white wines, the Viognier represents the lush side: peach, apricot, and orange blossom, full-bodied, moderate acidity, and a long, slightly oily finish. The Cuvée Rolle Amphora forms the counterpart. The Rolle (Vermentino) is aged in clay amphorae, meaning without any influence of wood. The result is bright citrus aromas, white peach, and a herbal note of the garrigue, plus a salty finish.

The final note is set by the Syrah Amphora. Fermentation and aging take place in clay vessels, one of the oldest methods of winemaking. In the glass, dark olive, blackberry, and black pepper appear, without the vanilla that barrique barrels bring. The fruit remains clear and precise.

Pairs well with: Ratatouille or grilled sea bass with the rosés (8–10 °C), seared scallops, chicken with saffron sauce, or mild goat cheese with the Viognier (10–12 °C). Lamb dishes and hearty stews with herbs go well with the Syrah.

Five bottles in the pack are cheaper than buying them individually. This makes it a great gift for wine lovers, a voyage of discovery through Provence, or a foundation for your summer stock.
