Metodo Classico Brut Spumante 0.75L

A Sardinian sparkling wine made using the classic method — with second fermentation in the bottle and subsequent yeast aging. Argiolas, the island's most renowned winery, brings indigenous Sardinian grape varieties into a Brut format here that shows the island far beyond its red wine strengths.

Argiolas was founded in the 1930s by Antonio Argiolas in Serdiana and is now managed by the third generation. The family cultivates around 230 hectares in the south of Sardinia — a terroir of calcareous and clayey soils, characterized by hot summers and the cooling influence of the sea wind. The focus is consistently on native varieties such as Vermentino, Nuragus, and Nasco.

In the glass, it shows a fresh, light golden Brut with a fine perlage. The nose brings citrus zest, white peach, and a hint of almond — typical aromatics of Sardinian white wine varieties. On the palate, clean, with lively acidity and a dry, slightly salty-mineral finish that is reminiscent of the growing region's proximity to the coast.

Best served at 7–9 °C as an aperitif or with grilled seafood, bottarga on toasted bread, or light antipasti with Pecorino Sardo.

Argiolas

Argiolas – the cradle of the Sardinian wine renaissance. Founded in 1938 by Antonio Argiolas in Serdiana, the 230-hectare estate is now run by the third generation, his grandchildren. Antonio was ahead of his time: larger vineyard areas, a focus on quality. With legendary oenologist Giacomo Tachis as a consultant, his sons invested in modernization. Only indigenous grape varieties are cultivated – many almost forgotten. Vermentino, Cannonau, Monica, Carignano – the Mediterranean climate provides them with ideal growing conditions. The highlight: Turriga, regularly awarded three glasses in the Gambero Rosso guide. Sardinian, elegant, international. Over two million bottles produced annually – Sardinian wine culture for the world.
