Beisiegel Traisener Nonnengarten Riesling Ice Wine

An Eiswein that literally emerged from an exceptional situation: On December 12, 2019, the grapes were harvested at −11 °C — this is how Germany's most concentrated and rarest sweet wines are created.

The Weingut Beisiegel manages the Traisener Nonnengarten in the Nahe, a region known for its steep Riesling vineyards on porphyry soil. This mineral subsoil gives even the luscious wines a precise structure that prevents them from feeling heavy.

In the glass, the extreme concentration of the harvest is evident: aromas of passion fruit, candied mango, and dried apricot, underscored by a clear citrus note that keeps the sweetness in balance. The finish is long, mineral, and characterized by a lively acidity — no sugar without tension.
