Beisiegel Riesling Brut German Sparkling Wine

A vintage sparkling wine from the Beisiegel winery, made from Riesling grapes and produced using the traditional method of bottle fermentation to produce a Brut. The nose offers ripe yellow fruits – mirabelle plum, quince, a hint of peach – over a mineral depth reminiscent of slate.

On the palate, a robust body with a creamy texture and subtle spice. The acidity is well-integrated, the mousse delicate, and the perlage fine and persistent. A dry, mineral finish with a hint of citrus.

Serving temperature: 7–9 °C. Goes well with tarte flambée with crème fraîche, fried pike-perch or mature goat cheese.

Beisiegel Winery

The Beisiegel winery in Traisen on the Nahe River is a true family business with deep roots: The family has been based in Traisen since 1579, and they have been bottling their own wines since 1959. Today, Walter and Alexander Beisiegel, the fourth generation, manage 13 hectares of vineyards in the Traisen and Norheim sites – characterized by porphyry and melaporphyry soils that impart a distinctive minerality and almost salty spiciness to the Rieslings. Without compromise in vineyard management and without aggressive chemicals, they produce wines that make their terroir immediately apparent in the glass.
