Beisiegel Pinot Gris dry

A Pinot Gris that shows what the Palatinate region is capable of: ripe fruit, creamy texture and yet excitement in the glass.

Beisiegel Winery is a family-run winery in the Palatinate – one of Germany's sunniest wine regions. The Pinot Gris thrives here on soils that give it the richness for which this region is known.

In the glass, it displays a clear straw yellow color. The nose immediately offers aromas of ripe yellow pear and mirabelle plum, followed by dried apricot and a hint of almond. On the palate, it is creamy and smooth, with a buttery texture and a pleasant freshness that keeps the wine light-footed despite its richness. The finish is long, slightly nutty, and dry.

Weingut Beisiegel

The Beisiegel winery in Traisen on the Nahe River is a true family business with deep roots: The family has been based in Traisen since 1579, and they have been bottling their own wines since 1959. Today, Walter and Alexander Beisiegel, the fourth generation, manage 13 hectares of vineyards in the Traisen and Norheim sites – characterized by porphyry and melaporphyry soils that impart a distinctive minerality and almost salty spiciness to the Rieslings. Without compromise in vineyard management and without aggressive chemicals, they produce wines that make their terroir immediately apparent in the glass.
