Beisiegel Norheimer Onkelchen Spätburgunder -S- dry

A Spätburgunder from the Nahe village of Norheim that impresses with subtle power – soft tannins, clear fruit, no harshness.

Weingut Beisiegel cultivates vineyards around Norheim on the Nahe, a region known for its slate soils and mineral-driven wines. The name Onkelchen carries a personal touch – typical for family businesses that give their wines names instead of numbers. The -S- on the label stands for a selection: hand-picked grapes, higher standards for ripeness and harvest quality.

On the nose, the wine opens with Morello cherry and dark plum, behind which lies a hint of dark chocolate and some lavender. On the palate, it shows velvety-soft tannins, medium body, and a red berry fruit that carries through to the finish – long, with a slight spice in the aftertaste.

Weingut Beisiegel

The Weingut Beisiegel from Traisen on the Nahe is a true family business with deep roots: the family has been based in Traisen since 1579, and they have been bottling their own wines since 1959.

Today, Walter and Alexander Beisiegel manage 13 hectares of vineyards in the Traisen and Norheim sites in the fourth generation – characterized by porphyry and melaphyre soils, which give the Rieslings an unmistakable minerality and an almost salty spice.

Without compromises in cultivation and without aggressive chemicals, wines are created here that make their origin character directly palpable in the glass.
