Angialis Isola dei Nuraghi bianco dessert wine - IGT Sardinia 0.5L

A dessert wine from Sardinia made from the autochthonous Nasco grape variety, supplemented by a small proportion of Malvasia di Cagliari. The Angialis from Argiolas stands for the sweet side of the island: dense, round and Mediterranean.

The grapes grow on the Siurgus estate at an altitude of 230 meters, on clay-silicate soils with lithosols and sandstone. Mild winters, little rainfall and hot, windy summers characterize the climate. Harvesting is done by hand after the grapes have fully ripened on the vine. After gentle pressing, the must ferments slowly at 22–25 °C in stainless steel tanks, and the wine then matures in barriques.

It glows intensely straw-yellow in the glass. On the nose, it shows a powerful Mediterranean bouquet with terpenic notes, as are typical for Nasco. On the palate, it appears round and full, medium-sweet to almost sweet, with aromas that clearly reflect the fruit of the grape.

Serve it well chilled at 10–12 °C, with aged blue cheese, almond pastries or Sardinian seadas. It also works solo for the end of a convivial evening.

The Winery

Argiolas

Argiolas – the cradle of the Sardinian wine renaissance. Founded in 1938 by Antonio Argiolas in Serdiana, the 230-hectare winery is managed today in the third generation by his grandchildren. Antonio was ahead of his time: larger vineyard areas, focus on quality.

With oenologist legend Giacomo Tachis as a consultant, the sons invested in modernization. Only indigenous grape varieties are cultivated – many almost forgotten. Vermentino, Cannonau, Monica, Carignano – the Mediterranean climate gives them ideal conditions.

The highlight: Turriga, regularly awarded 3 glasses in the Gambero Rosso. Sardinian, elegant, international. Over 2 million bottles annually – Sardinian wine culture for the world.
