Philipp Kuhn Kirschgarten Pinot Blanc dry GG

Philipp Kuhn Kirschgarten Pinot Blanc dry GG
A Pinot Blanc at Grand Cru level: The Kirschgarten shows what this grape variety can achieve in the Palatinate when location and craftsmanship are right.
The Philipp Kuhn winery in Laumersheim is one of the most reliable wineries in the Palatinate. The Kuhn family works with a consistent focus on single-vineyard quality; the soils around Laumersheim are calcareous and deep—ideal conditions for mineral-driven white wines with substance.
The Kirschgarten matures in a combination of old and new oak barrels, and the wine remains on its lees until April using bâtonnage – this gives it richness and texture without heaviness. In the glass, ripe pear, walnut, and a hint of apple are revealed, underpinned by a subtle oak spice. The acidity is finely balanced, and the finish is creamy with a mineral aftertaste.
Serving temperature: 12–14 °C. Ready to drink now, but with further potential until 2028.
Pairs well with: Veal fillet with creamed mushrooms, risotto with Parmesan, mature Brie or grilled turbot.
