Philipp Kuhn Blanc de Noir

Philipp Kuhn Blanc de Noir
A Blanc de Noir that shows what the Palatinate can do with dark grapes: light in color, precise, with pressure on the palate.
Philipp Kuhn is one of the most reliable names in the Laumersheim terroir – sandy-loamy soils with a limestone subsoil that provide both depth and freshness. The Blanc de Noir is a classic example of the estate's style: vinified as a white wine, but with the body and substance that only red grape varieties possess.
In the glass, it's pale with delicate pink reflections. The nose opens with aromas of cassis and blueberry, followed by a spicy, slightly mineral note. On the palate, it's juicy and structured – the balance between fruit sweetness and lively acidity is perfect, without either dominating. The finish is dry and invigorating.
Recommendation: Serve at 10–12 °C. Pairs well with salmon, goat cheese, grilled poultry, or as a standalone summer wine without food.
