Philipp Kuhn Philipp's Rose

A rosé wine that works just as well in summer heat as it does for an aperitif on the terrace in spring — fresh, aromatic and uncomplicated to drink.

Philipp Kuhn is one of the most consistent addresses in the Palatinate. The winery in Laumersheim, in the middle of the Palatinate Wine Route, works with a wide range of grape varieties and focuses on clean vinification in stainless steel. For the Philipps Rosé, five grape varieties are blended into a cuvée — an approach that puts varietal typicity behind balance and drinkability.

In the glass, it glows in a light salmon pink. On the nose, wild strawberry and raspberry, plus a slight hint of red currant. The palate is slim, with lively acidity and little residual sweetness — this makes it digestible without a sweet aftertaste. The finish is short and clean.
