Philipp Kuhn Dirmsteiner Sauvignon Blanc Reserve dry

Philipp Kuhn Dirmsteiner Sauvignon Blanc Reserve dry
Sauvignon Blanc from the Palatinate has shown what the region is capable of over the last two decades — Philipp Kuhn's Reserve version from Dirmstein is one of the most convincing examples of this.
The Philipp Kuhn winery is located in Laumersheim in the northern Palatinate. The family works with precision and a focus on grape varieties, specializing in dry still wines from specific vineyard sites. The Dirmstein soils provide the foundation for a Sauvignon Blanc with a clear expression of its origin.
In the glass, the typical aroma profile of the variety is revealed in its green, spicy form: gooseberry, kiwi, and a hint of hay form the backbone, accompanied by passion fruit and a touch of vanilla in the background. On the palate, firm, lively acidity, medium body, and a long finish with a fresh, slightly mineral note.
Serving temperature 8–10 °C. Best drunk now until 2027 — the wine thrives on its freshness, not suitable for long storage.
It goes well with goat cheese, grilled asparagus, sushi or a summer tomato salad with herbs.
