Clos Vougeot Grand Cru in Hong Kong

The Clos Vougeot is one of the most significant sites in Burgundy – 50 hectares, divided among around 80 winemakers, surrounded by a historic wall from the 12th century. Louis Jadot, one of the most renowned négociant houses of the Côte de Nuits, vinifies this Grand Cru with the ambition to fully reflect the depth of the site.

In the glass, it shows a deep dark ruby red. The nose opens with aromas of black cherry, cassis, and plum, underpinned by a hint of cedar wood, earth, and dried violets. On the palate, dense but well-integrated tannins, a lively acid structure, and a long, spicy-mineral finish with notes of dark chocolate and licorice.

Serve at 16–17 °C and ideally decant an hour before drinking. Suitable for game ragout, beef fillet with truffle sauce, or aged Époisses.
