Beaune 1er Cru Clos des Ursules Monopole Domaine des Héritiers Louis Jadot in HK
The Clos des Ursules is one of the best-known monopoles of the Côte de Beaune — a 2.4-hectare Premier Cru parcel within the Beaune-Vignes-Franches, in the sole possession of the Louis Jadot house for decades.
Louis Jadot is one of the most significant négociant houses of the Côte d'Or, founded in 1859 in Beaune. The Domaine des Héritiers manages the house's own vineyard holdings and works with strictly controlled yields as well as gentle vinification in the traditional Burgundian style.
In the glass, the wine shows the typical Pinot Noir palette of the Côte de Beaune: ripe strawberry and dark cherry in the foreground, underneath hints of cassis and fine notes of tobacco and cedar wood. The palate is carried by silky tannins, the structure is precise without hardness, the finish long and spicy-mineral.
Serving recommendation: Ideal temperature 16–17 °C. Goes well with Coq au Vin, rack of lamb with herb crust, or aged Époisses.
