Rully Villages Blanc

Rully Villages Blanc
Rully is one of the quiet strengths of the Côte Chalonnaise — often overlooked, rarely disappointing. Louis Jadot treats this Chardonnay like a great white wine of the Côte d'Or: barrel fermentation and 13 to 14 months of aging in wood give the wine a depth not expected in this price range.
The Jadot estate has been one of the most trusted names in Burgundy since 1859. The Côte Chalonnaise lies south of the Côte de Beaune—cooler, with a higher limestone content in the soil, which gives Chardonnay a distinctive minerality.
In the glass, the Rully Villages Blanc displays ripe pear, white peach, and a hint of brioche from barrel aging. The acidity is firm yet integrated, the finish long with a slightly creamy texture. Not a heavy wine, but one with backbone.
Drinking window: now until 2028. Temperature: 11–13 °C. Pairs well with pike-perch fillet with butter sauce, poulet de Bresse, mild goat cheese or a classic gratin dauphinois.
