Louis Jadot Chambertin Clos de Bèze Grand Cru in HK
Chambertin Clos de Bèze is one of the great names of the Côte de Nuits — a Grand Cru that, in good vintages, demonstrates what Pinot Noir is capable of on limestone-clay soils. Louis Jadot, one of the most prestigious négociant houses of the Côte d'Or, has been vinifying this vineyard for decades with the aim of achieving long aging potential.
In the glass, a deep cherry red with violet highlights. The nose opens with dark cherry, blackberry, and violet, underpinned by layers of licorice, leather, and a hint of cedar from barrel aging. On the palate, dense and structured: ripe tannins, lively acidity, and a long finish with notes of wild berries and fine oak.
Drinking window: from 2026 at the earliest, peaking in 2030–2040. Serving temperature 16–18 °C, decant at least one hour beforehand. Pairs well with wild boar loin with juniper sauce, braised duck, or mature Époisses.
