Louis Jadot Chambertin Clos de Bèze Grand Cru in HK

The Chambertin Clos de Bèze is one of the great names of the Côte de Nuits — a Grand Cru that, in good vintages, shows what Pinot Noir is capable of on limestone-clay soils. Louis Jadot, one of the most renowned Négociant houses of the Côte d'Or, has been vinifying this site for decades with the goal of long aging potential.

Deep cherry red in the glass with a violet shimmer. The nose opens with dark cherry, blackberry, and violets, underneath layers of licorice, leather, and a hint of cedar from the barrique aging. Dense and structured on the palate: ripe tannin, lively acidity, long finish with notes of forest berries and fine oak.

Serving temperature 16–18 °C, decant at least one hour beforehand. Pairs with wild boar loin with juniper sauce, braised duck, or ripe Époisses.
