Clos Vougeot Grand Cru in Hong Kong
Clos Vougeot is one of Burgundy's most important vineyard sites – 50 hectares, divided among around 80 winegrowers, surrounded by a historic 12th-century wall. Louis Jadot, one of the most prestigious négociant houses in the Côte de Nuits, vinifies this Grand Cru with the aim of fully expressing the depth of the vineyard.
In the glass, it displays a deep, dark ruby red. The nose opens with aromas of black cherry, cassis, and plum, underpinned by hints of cedar, earth, and dried violets. On the palate, dense but well-integrated tannins, a lively acidity, and a long, spicy-mineral finish with notes of dark chocolate and licorice.
Drinking window: 2026–2038. Serve at 16–17 °C and ideally decant one hour before drinking. Pairs well with venison ragout, beef fillet with truffle sauce, or aged Époisses.
