Bâtard-Montrachet is located exactly where Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet meet — a Grand Cru that connects both municipalities and stylistically draws the best from both: the minerality and precision of the one, the fullness and warmth of the other.

Louis Jadot is one of the most consistent names in Burgundy. The négociant house based in Beaune has been working with the most significant sites of the Côte d'Or since 1859 and maintains long-term partnerships with winegrowing families in the region. The Bâtard-Montrachet comes from one of the most coveted white Grand Cru climates in France: around 11.8 hectares of limestone soil on a slight south-facing slope, which gives the Chardonnay extraordinary depth.

In the glass, it shows a strong golden yellow. The nose combines ripe white peach and mirabelle fruit with hazelnut, beeswax, and a mineral undertone. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and dense, with an integrated acidity that ensures freshness and length despite the power. The finish is long, creamy, and characterized by a salty-mineral aftertaste.

Best served at 12–14 °C — with lobster, scallops in saffron sauce, sweetbreads, or a ripe Époisses. Even neat, as the star of a festive evening, it carries itself effortlessly.
