Wolfberger Riesling Vielles Vignes

An Alsatian Riesling from old vines means deeper roots, lower yields, and more concentrated aromas in the glass. The Wolfberger Riesling Vieilles Vignes demonstrates precisely this: clear fruit with a lively acidity structure typical of Alsatian Riesling.

Wolfberger is one of the best-known winegrowers' cooperatives in Alsace, based in Eguisheim—one of the region's oldest wine-growing villages. The cooperative unites the expertise of around 1,200 winegrowing families and has been vinifying their grapes for decades according to clearly defined quality levels. The Vieilles Vignes line represents vineyards with particularly old vines.

In the glass, the wine shines a bright golden yellow. The nose reveals grapefruit, lime, and white blossoms—aromatically precise, without heaviness. On the palate, it is fresh and direct, with a delicate citrus note and an acidity that keeps the wine long and vibrant.

Serving temperature 8–10 °C . Pairs well with tarte flambée, Munster cheese with caraway, grilled pike-perch, or light poultry dishes with lemon sauce. Also a classic Alsatian duo as an aperitif with onion tart.

Wolfberger

Wolfberger is the leading wine brand of Alsace – founded in 1902 in Eguisheim, known under this name since 1976, and still a benchmark for Alsatian quality. Around 450 contracted winegrowers cultivate 1,200 hectares of vineyards stretching almost 100 kilometers from north to south, encompassing 15 Grand Cru vineyards and approximately 13,000 parcels. As the largest Crémant producer in Alsace, Wolfberger produces roughly half of the region's sparkling wines – using the traditional method of extended lees contact. Organic certification for more than 15 years and several ISO awards attest to its serious commitment to quality and sustainability.
