The Grand Cru Riesling Eichberg from Wolfberger shows itself in a luminous golden yellow. In the nose, it exudes aromatic intensity with aromas of citrus fruits and convinces on the palate with its freshness.
The Grand Cru site Eichberg is oriented towards the southeast. The terroir borders the municipal area of Eguisheim and consists of sedimentary rock with gravelly clay-limestone soils. The Eichberg benefits from a dry and warm microclimate. The terroir is, by the way, one of the areas with the lowest rainfall in the Colmar region. Wines from this growing area are characterized by remarkable fruitiness and generosity, which highlight the aromas and the typical character of these long-lived wines.

The Domaine
Wolfberger is the leading wine brand of Alsace – founded in 1902 in Eguisheim, known by this name since 1976, and to this day a benchmark for Alsatian quality. Around 450 contract winegrowers cultivate 1,200 hectares of vineyards over almost 100 kilometers from north to south, with 15 Grand Cru sites and around 13,000 plots.
As the largest Crémant producer in Alsace, Wolfberger produces around half of the regional sparkling wines – with long yeast contact times according to the Méthode Traditionnelle. Organic certification for more than 15 years and several ISO awards prove the serious claim to quality and sustainability.
