Wolfberger Gewürztraminer Signature

Gewürztraminer from Alsace is polarizing — those who like it, love it. This one shows why the grape variety has been cultivated in Wolfberger's homeland for centuries.

Wolfberger is one of the largest winegrowers' cooperatives in Alsace, headquartered in Eguisheim, one of the region's most picturesque wine villages. Over 1,000 winegrowing families jointly cultivate around 1,200 hectares of vineyards along the Alsace Wine Route—from the foothills of the Vosges Mountains to the border of the Grand Cru vineyards. The Signature line represents varietally typical, characterful wines from across the entire growing region.

In the glass, the wine shines a rich gold. The nose opens with rose petals, lychee, and cloves —the classic aroma profile of the grape variety, expressive and straightforward. On the palate, it is full-bodied and creamy, with a soft texture and a distinct spiciness on the finish. The acidity keeps the weight in balance. Wine Spectator awarded the 2018 vintage 90 points in 2020.

Serving temperature: 10–12 °C. Pairs well with robust dishes: Munster cheese, foie gras, onion tart, or Thai curry with coconut milk. If drinking it neat, it shouldn't be served too cold—this allows the rose and spice notes to shine through best.

Wolfberger

Wolfberger is the leading wine brand of Alsace – founded in 1902 in Eguisheim, known under this name since 1976, and still a benchmark for Alsatian quality. Around 450 contracted winegrowers cultivate 1,200 hectares of vineyards stretching almost 100 kilometers from north to south, encompassing 15 Grand Cru vineyards and approximately 13,000 parcels. As the largest Crémant producer in Alsace, Wolfberger produces roughly half of the region's sparkling wines – using the traditional method of extended lees contact. Organic certification for more than 15 years and several ISO awards attest to its serious commitment to quality and sustainability.
