Wolfberger Gewürztraminer Grand Cru Stallion AOC

The Grand Cru Gewürztraminer Hatschbourg possesses the typical aromas of rose petals as well as ripe, candied fruits and sweet spices. In the mouth, we find this very rich aroma, with a long-lasting and fruity finish.

The Hatschbourg Grand Cru site, already mentioned in the High Middle Ages, lies between the villages of Hattstatt and Voegtlinshoffen in the south of the Alsace Wine Route on a hillside with a uniform slope. The special feature of the site is the heavy, deep, and very well-drained soils, which ensure excellent viticulture in a southern or southeastern orientation with direct sunlight. This Grand Cru site represents all four noble grape varieties. The typical character of the Hatschbourg Grands Crus is expressed regardless of the grape variety in very present aromas and reliable storage capability.

Wolfberger Hatschbourg Gewürztraminer

Know (drank!) Wolfberger Pfersigberg vintage 2013 - excellent wine! I cannot say anything about the Wolfberger Hatschbourg vintage 2018 yet.. Hope that it will be just as good.

Hatschberg Alsace Grand Cru, Gewürztraminer 2017

An excellent aromatic Gewürztraminer. Very intense and round. Just ordering the 2018 one.

Certainly a good drop

Unfortunately, I cannot say anything about the quality of the wine yet. I let the wine rest for at least 6-8 weeks. The winery is unconditionally recommended

Super wine tasteful full-bodied fruity

Drank the Gewürztraminer Hatschbourg Grand Cru for the first time, simply a delight, the full-bodied fruity wine with great aroma and taste as well as mature without acidity, excellently suited for eating, I can only recommend it

The Domaine

Wolfberger

Wolfberger is the leading wine brand of Alsace – founded in 1902 in Eguisheim, known by this name since 1976, and to this day a benchmark for Alsatian quality. Around 450 contract winegrowers cultivate 1,200 hectares of vineyards over almost 100 kilometers from north to south, with 15 Grand Cru sites and around 13,000 plots.

As the largest Crémant producer in Alsace, Wolfberger produces around half of the regional sparkling wines – with long yeast contact times according to the Méthode Traditionnelle. Organic certification for more than 15 years and several ISO awards prove the serious claim to quality and sustainability.
