Wolfberger Pinot Gris Signature

Wolfberger Pinot Gris Signature
Pinot Gris from Alsace has a distinct character: more body than a Pinot Blanc, less perfumed than a Gewurztraminer. Wolfberger's Signature line showcases the grape variety in its most approachable form.
Wolfberger is one of the most important winegrowers' cooperatives in Alsace, founded in 1902 in Eguisheim. Over 1,000 winegrowing families jointly cultivate around 1,400 hectares along the Route des Vins—from Marlenheim in the north to Thann in the south. The grapes for the Signature line are gently destemmed, pressed, and the must is fermented clearly in stainless steel tanks. This preserves the varietal fruit characteristics.
Pale yellow in the glass with greenish reflections. On the nose, lemon zest, a touch of white peach, and a slight hint of quince. Medium-bodied on the palate, lively acidity, and a dry finish without bitterness.
Serving temperature 10–12 °C . Pairs well with Alsatian tarte flambée, pan-fried pike-perch fillet with butter sauce, or a mild Munster cheese. Also a good choice as a casual aperitif. Drink now.
