Wolfberger Gewürztraminer Vielles Vignes
A Gewürztraminer that showcases the aromatic power of old vines – spicy, full-bodied and with that typical Alsatian smoothness that makes the grape variety so distinctive.
Wolfberger is one of the most important winegrowers' cooperatives in Alsace, founded in 1902 in Eguisheim. Over 1,000 winegrowing families contribute their grapes here, including vines from particularly old vines – the so-called Vieilles Vignes . Old vines yield fewer grapes, but they are more concentrated: you can taste the difference in the glass.
The color shines a rich golden yellow. On the nose, cardamom, cinnamon, and ripe mirabelle plum unfold – classic Gewürztraminer aromas, but with a depth that younger vintages lack. On the palate, it is soft and oily-textured, the residual sweetness remains in the background, and the finish returns to the spices: long, warm, and lingering.

Wolfberger is the leading wine brand of Alsace – founded in 1902 in Eguisheim, known under this name since 1976, and still a benchmark for Alsatian quality. Around 450 contracted winegrowers cultivate 1,200 hectares of vineyards stretching almost 100 kilometers from north to south, encompassing 15 Grand Cru vineyards and approximately 13,000 parcels. As the largest Crémant producer in Alsace, Wolfberger produces roughly half of the region's sparkling wines – using the traditional method of extended lees contact. Organic certification for more than 15 years and several ISO awards attest to its serious commitment to quality and sustainability.
