Winzer Sommerach Frizzante Secco Weiss

Winzer Sommerach Frizzante Secco Weiss
A light Frizzante from Sommerach am Main in Franconia – perfect for warm evenings, spontaneous get-togethers and anything that doesn't need a grand entrance.
This sparkling white wine cuvée from the Sommerach winegrowers pours into the glass with a fine, gentle effervescence. The nose offers a clear elderflower note, while the palate is dry and fruity with a light tingle. Body and alcohol are restrained – exactly what one expects from an uncomplicated Secco. The Sommerach winegrowers are one of Franconia's most traditional cooperatives and cultivate vineyards around the town of Sommerach am Main.
Serve well chilled at 7–8 °C: as an aperitif, with light salads, tarte flambée, goat cheese, or simply on its own on the patio. Also a good choice as a base for a summery Aperol Spritz or Hugo.

Winzer Sommerach is the oldest winegrowers' cooperative in Franconia – founded in 1901 by 35 winegrowing families who joined forces to survive during a time of phylloxera infestation and plummeting prices. Today, 90 families carry on this tradition, cultivating around 200 hectares on the Main River loop and tending the Sommeracher Katzenkopf vineyard, one of the most important sites in the region. Their motto, "High standards make the difference," is not just a slogan: every bottle can be traced back to a specific winegrower and their vineyard – transparency and community as a lived principle for over 120 years.
